Who told that Prabhakaran became a Christian I think you got confused with his son being named Charles Antony .His son was given this name in memory of one of his favourite and closest lieutinants in LTTE.Please don’t confuse yourself and others.

This is a terrible story.I don’t sympathize with people who glorify suicide bombers and cyanide pills and care a damn for who gets killed or maimed in the bargain.No cause can justify this. I don’t sympathize either with the cowards in uniform who use heavy artillery,and jet aircraft to machine gun bomb and burn ordinary frightened people only because they belong to an ethnic grouping. I think an apology for an army who kill prisoners who have their hands tied behind their backs need mass counseling before being tried,found guilty and sent to a firing squad. I think that a joke for an army who need to tie the hands of young women behind their backs , shoot them, and open the clothes on the cadavers strategically to expose specifically the private parts and pose proudly for photos next to these which coincidentally also show their excited colleagues clicking away needs to be locked up and put for public viewing in a zoo.
After seeing what I have on the net, I am not surprised that this “army” did what they did to the aged relatives of their enemies. I only hope the young children of the various people of the defeated insurgency were put to “sleep” less barbarically. Humane is a world we pompously invented from the word “human”. Funny, because animals never kill for fun!

Why the word paraiyillai (SAY) is commonly used in VVT area ? This word reveals some attachment to malayalam as the word is used in Kerala and not used in TN by the tamils.Nothing wrong using this word as many tamil words are used by sinhalese and vice versa.

DBSJ, When you criticised Dayan and gave the impression of a Mahinda stooge I sent you a stinker asking what post you are eying for. May be I misunderstood and please accept my apologies. I am a sinhalese catholic but more amazed with Buddhist philosophy. Some of the comments with the “para demala” versions are despicable. I do not agree with Prabhakaran or his violent, undemocratic ways but that doesnt mean we can justify everything some sinhala idiots are doing. On behalf of all humanly thinking sinhalese, I apologise to DBSJ and all tamils for all those derogatory comments. Please remember for most of us you are our own brothers and sisters and we feel your pain.

Prabha was indeed a great leader, but his miscalculation and his attitude towards other militant groups lack of military strategies paved way for what had happened. Mahatayya is a great military genius, but due to pottu amman he was eliminated. The same attempt was made on Karuna, it cost LTTE . Pottu may have been a trusted LT of Prabha. But the fact is he was like a saguney to LTTE. He rang the dead bell of LTTE.

As for the media comments you make, it shows how little you know about the media here. More than 15 journalists have been killed in the last few years alone and countless others beaten up and injured or have left the country. As for the last election covered by the media that you are crowing about you don’t even know that a poor journalist was kidnapped and is still missing just before the elections. That would have sent the proper message to the others.

Your trying to pur Srilanka in the same basket as India is because i think you have not even spent one day in Srilanka. Srilanka’s culture is not asian but more akin to violence ridden latin america, as many names will also correspond to that region, of silva’s , fernando’s etc.
The portuguese behaved like barbarians and polluted the asian culture. You had that problem only in goa, we had it in the whole country for more than hundred years, except the kandyan kingdom in the central hills.

no mater what happend, mr velu was a typical ex gov servent as all of our “rosam illatha” fathers,but his son wether alive or not will be eelatamils leader b’se his ethics will lead a peacefull free & fair homeland for tamils,unless singhaleese will change dramaticaly their views on proper domocracy & monorities, for that singhaleese needs to elect a goverment which see everyone as their citizens regardsless tamil ,musleems or singhaleese,untill then there wont be any more “rosam illatha” velu,only “rosam” ulla fathers,imagine tamil fathers who engarege sons to be “vp”??? too good to tamils but 4 singhaleese?????no more nibbana!
