As a Indian Tamil from TN, I am very sorry for the difficulties that SL Tamils have suffered. It is now I believe universally acknowledged that their misery was due both to Sinhala chauvenism and the LTTE. I wonder if MR. Jeyaraj and others would agree that SL Tamils would have been much better off if instead of opposing the IPKF, the LTTE had cooperated with them. I do realize that India has made mistakes as well (like foolishly arming the militants) not to mention our moronic politicians (like Vaiko)

Hello Mr Jeyraj, I am fascinated by your unbiased reporting. Never been beyond Rambewa where we have some property, so more than eager to know the geography of the area in the news. My interest in nostalgia, wild and bird life, tourism based on nature and history and more importantly prevailing remoteness in the Island led me to admire what you had written.Wish you could recall more often, those great days of the sixties and seventies when all of us were just one of the same kind!
